Like throwing a dodgeball at a wall, the harder you throw it, the harder it bounces back. There will always be situations in your life that will cause you to think about giving up. Giving up is one of the easiest things to do. It takes no effort and it garners no strength. Your will and passion to keep going is the oil that keeps you going. It runs dry when you lose passion and the will to trust in God. Everything in life is designed to make you stronger. Even your greatest struggle can be your greatest testimony. You have to know that God has chosen you to overcome and to be more than a conquer.
We have the ability to speak things into existence, to believe the impossible and to have dominion over all things. Ever since the beginning, God has given us dominion (Genesis 1:28). That means, every obstacle we face we have dominion over it. Who cares what others say about you. You have dominion over what you think about yourself. I know life gets hard sometimes but you have dominion over it. You have the power! Don’t let fear and rejection rob you of your ability to believe in yourself. Don’t let pain and suffering steal your joy and happiness. Don’t let pride and the need to be validated take you backward but let the peace of God and the belief in Him push you forward. You have the ability to bounce back so hold on, a change is on the way!
You may feel tossed and thrown around by the cares of this world but the one thing you cannot become is diminished. God has made you after his own image, he has breathed life into you and has taken the time to make and mold you into a man and woman of purpose. The Word of God tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14) and we must not forget that our genetic makeup is not based on science but it’s based on the breath of God (Genesis 2:7).
Whatever or whoever is tossing you to and fro, causing confusion and discord cannot destroy you. The life that lives within you is enough to withstand the pressure allowing you to bounce off the very thing that tried to kill you. Lust tried to kill you, but you bounce back. Haters tried to kill you, but you bounce back. Drugs tried to kill you, but you bounce back. Pride tried to kill you, but you bounce back. Rejection, abandonment and shame tried to kill you, but you bounce back. You were built to last! It doesn’t matter what you go through, you were built to be strong.
God comes to give us life and that more abundantly (John 10:10). The enemy’s desire is to destroy us but what he doesn’t know is that we are surfaced like a dodgeball. The harder the devil throws us, the harder we bounce back catapulting us into our purpose and our destiny.
